Shimazu Takahisa | 島津 貴久

Shimazu Takahisa was born in 1514 into the powerful Shimazu clan, a prominent family in the Satsuma Province of Kyushu.

He was the son of Shimazu Yoshihisa and inherited the role of leader from his father, integrating his familys of martial prowess and political acumen.

His early years were marked by the clan’s ongoing conflicts with neighboring warlords and a growing instability across Japan due to the Sengoku period’s relentless civil strife.

As an ambitious young leader, Takahisa quickly established himself by consolidating power within his clan and expanding its territory.
