Shimazu Yoshihisa | 島津 義久

Shimazu Yoshihisa was born in 1534 into the powerful Shimazu clan, which ruled over the Satsuma province in Kyushu.

He was the fourth son of Shimazu Takahisa and inherited the role of leader of the clan under tumultuous circumstances.

Yoshihisa ascended to power as the head of the Shimazu clan after a series of internal conflicts and his fathers death in 1571.
